Beginner Yoga

This beginning level yoga class starts with an opening mediation to quiet the mind. A sense of peace comes through connecting the body and spirit. Then we will move through a gentle flow to release tension and increase range of motion. Class will continue with more challenging standing poses to strengthen your body, find balance, and increase focus, flexibility, and awareness. Restorative yoga props, such as blankets, blocks, bolsters and straps, are often used to support the body, allowing muscles to lengthen and release. The pace of this class is slower than the flow and mixed level classes, focusing on stretching all areas of the body while releasing stress and tension from joints and muscles.

A regular yoga practice will help to dissolve barriers that may have you stuck in limiting patterns, and open you to transform from the inside out. This class is designed for beginners and those looking for a gentle yoga practice.
